Oyster Reef Golf Club (semi private)

Rees Jones’ Oyster Reef,
rated one of the top 25 new
courses in the U.S.,
features elevated tees and
lush fairways lined with
thick stands of live oak and
pine. Numerous doglegs,
accented by strategically
located mounds and fairway
bunkers, call for
well-planned tee shots.
Varying sizes of greens with
well-defined tiers place a
premium on precise approach
shots.
The
par-3 sixth, which plays 192
yards from the tips to a
green set against a backdrop
of Port Royal Sound, is one
of the most spectacular
holes on the island. In the
summer of 2000, all the
greens were converted to
state-of-the-art TifEagle
Bermuda grass, significantly
improving the putting
surfaces. Tee times should
be booked in advance, as
there are limited public tee
times available.
The
course, recently voted the
second most popular public
course on the island,
